BucksMTB are a ‘BikeClub’ and CTC affiliated Mountain Bike Club based in the Chiltern Hills primarily covering Buckinghamshire, however they do also cater for mountain bikers in the surrounding counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.
First established in 2002, the main aim of the BucksMTB Club is to have fun and to enjoy and promote their sport. They have a range of regular cycle rides suitable for reasonably fit novices through to serious racers and they also cater for youngsters and families. They hold various Club Trips throughout the UK for their members.
The best way to find out about the club is to join them on one of their regular Group Rides in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. You don’t need to pay up and join straight away though, they welcome new riders to join them on up to two occasions on their regular rides to see if you like them first. Of course, you can decide to join BucksMTB Club at any time. They are proud to openly cater for everyone and they also have one of the largest groups of regular female riders locally as well.
Not only is riding with other people sociable, but you’ll discover new routes and trails, go further and faster, get tips on riding and bike setup and find new friends to ride with. You’ll be more motivated to ride – even throughout the winter months – and get more exercise. You’ll also benefit from Club insurance cover and be able to tap into CTC, BikeClub and BucksMTB Club resources.
The BucksMTB website contains upcoming ride details, ride reports, galleries, trail guides and useful local information. They also have a BucksMTB Facebook page with regular ride updates.
